Who Is Nidhi Bhanushali? Former Sonu Of Taarak Mehta Going Viral

Fame of television show Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma, Nidhi Bhanushali has been going viral on social media after she posted some pictures of  from her photoshoots.

Her Instagram handle was recently filled with her pictures sporting dreadlocks. One picture of her caught the attention of many as she was seen holding a cigarette-like white paper roll. It was later clarified that the thing in her hand was not a cigarette.

In a picture of her donning space buns and a pink top, the actor wrote in the caption, "Your mind is a stream of colors. Extending beyond our sky. A land of infinite wonders. A billion lightyears from here now. Light my love!" Looking at the child actor embracing adolescence, many of her fans expressed shock. Comments like, " Sonu what happened to you" and "You have changed so much" flooded her comment sections along with appreciation from fans. Bhanushali used to play the character of Sonu in the television drama Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma.

Bhanushali was born in Gandhinagar of Gujarat. In February 2019, she quit Taarak Mehta ka Oolta Chashma to pursue a Bachelors degree from Mithibai College in Mumbai. This part was worked into the show's script as the character Sonu went abroad for higher studies. Her place in the show was taken up by Palak Sidhwani later.

According to Bhanushali's social media accounts, she takes an interest in travelling. She recently shared pictures of her trip to Kashmir and Ladakh along with her friends. She also shared a video shot near the sea where she is seen cooking on a small stove. She has shared a video of her singing a melody with her mother. In the caption, the actor said that she and her mother spent the lockdown of 2020 by singing. The actor often shares videos of her singing.

The show Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma has been running for over 13 years on television making it the longest running show. Recently, one of the actors of the show, Munmun Dutta, faced backlash from netizens for using casteist slurs in one her videos.

A police case under the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes act was also filed against her. The actor again courted controversy when the rumours of her dating Raj Anadkat, who is younger than her, surfaced. Anadkat has played the role of Tapu in the show who is the son of main character Taarak Mehta.
