Who Is Neelanjana Ray? All About The Winner Of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

West Bengal's Neelanjana Ray lifted the trophy and a cash prize at singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa's recent finale. The 19-year-old was announced the winner on March 6. Rajashri Bag and Sharad Sharma won the first and second runners-up respectively.

The judges' panel for the show includes Vishal Dadlani, Shankar Mahadevan and Himesh Reshammiya. To mark the finale, apart from the judges, the show was attended by singer Udit Narayan, whose son Aditya hosted the show and Shilpa Rao.

While the runners-up got a cash prize of five lakh rupees and three lakh rupees respectively, Ray won a whopping amount Rs 10 lakh, along with the winner's trophy. Expressing her happiness on winning the title, Ray said, "I am so happy to have won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2021 and extremely grateful to the audience for all their appreciation and love. This is such a surreal moment for me, and I really can't believe that this incredible journey has come to an end."

The 2021 edition of the singing reality show premiered on television on October 16 last year and went on till March 7. Udit Narayan congratulated her and said, "It's always a delight to hear fresh talent, and these extraordinary singers on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa are exceptionally skilled...Neelanjana personally left me stunned by her talent. I also feel that each of these contestants have the potential to become great singers provided they believe in their talent and work on themselves."

Who Is Neelanjana Ray?

Speaking with The Time Of India, Ray said that her main goal was to win the hearts of the audience during the show and that the trophy is like a "bonus" for her. On her win, her parents expressed happiness too.

Ray said, "They are the happiest right now and their happiness means the most to me. Every parent wishes the best for their child and my parents always had this dream that I would win Sa Re Ga Ma Pa."

Talking about her journey till now, she said that she feels lucky to now have faced anything major in life. But also disclosed that learning music was not easy and especially to compete in a reality show, where there are many good singers.

Ray is from Alipurduar, which is a small town in West Bengal. She is a student of class 12 and is getting ready for her upcoming board exams. In the same interview, she said that she will be focusing on her studies as soon as she gets back home.
