Who Is Mreenal Deshraj? Ishqbaaz Actor Announces Wedding

Hindi television and film actor Mreenal Deshraj, popularly known for Ishqbaaz tied the knot with a healthcare professional, Ashim Matthan on July 5 in a court marriage. The newlyweds are said to host a reception for their families and close friends on July 10, reports say. 

Mreenal was quoted saying, “Ashim and I are not traditional and had never planned to have an elaborate wedding function. After we got engaged, the plan was to register the marriage, which we did after taking the blessings of our parents. We realised that we couldn’t live without each other so decided to settle down.”

Who Is Mreenal Deshraj?

An actor from Hindi television and movies, Mrinal Deshraj starred in the STAR Plus episode of the well-known Indian soap opera Kahiin to Hoga. She was cast as “Mr” Ahluwalia's daughter (played by Tinnu Anand). She is a London-born fashion designer. The Hindi soap opera Doli Saja Ke on Sahara One featured Mrinal as a member of the Shekhawat family.

In the Hindi television series Sujata - Ek Stree Ka Samarpan on Sony TV, Mreenal played the antagonistic role of Sejal, the daughter of Faiba (played by Renuka Israni). She also played the mother of Sam (played by Vipul Gupta) and Kuhu, Revati. She is the wife of Girish (played by Mihir Mishra), the major antagonist in this serial.

She later left the programme. It's been claimed that the reason of her departure is that her character failed to leave an impression on the audience. Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap, a historical drama serial, also subjected Mreenal to her career in Hindi soaps. She portrayed the “rude” character Uma. 

Along with her work on television, Mreenal also acted in movies including 2000's Dr Mukta, in which she played the part of Hema. She acted as an office assistant in Prem's (played by Shahid Kapoor) office in the 2006 movie Vivah. She is Prem's friend as well, and she is always there for him. She also appeared in the 2009 movie Runaway: Love Among Gunshots.

Prior to making a name for himself in the television and film industries, Mreenal worked as a fashion designer. Before making an appearance on television, she also went to various plays. She appears in television series like Sanjivani and Chudiyan as well.
