Meera Chopra has recently been tied in a vaccine controversy where she was accused of using a fake identity card to get herself vaccinated under the frontline category at the Parking Pass COVID Center located in Thane.

BJP has claimed that the actor was given a photo ID that identified her as a supervisor of a private firm which made her able to get the vaccine under the priority “frontline worker” category. The 37-year-old actor falls into the category of the 18-44 years for which vaccination is currently on hold in the state-run centres.

Chopra issued a statement on Twitter denying all allegations. “The ID card which has been flouting on social media is not mine,” the actor wrote. “I totally condemn such practices and if any such ID has been made, even I would want to know how and why,” she added.
