Telugu actor Kartikeya Gummakonda got engaged to Lohitha Reddy in an intimate ceremony on August 23 and took to his official Instagram account to share the news. He added an old picture of themselves as a couple from their college days in the announcement post.

Gummakonda captioned the post as, "Feeling elated to announce my engagement with my best friend who now is my partner for life... From 2010 when I first met #Lohitha in NITwarangal to now and many more such decades.."

Actor and model Bani congratulated the couple and wrote, "wish you both a happy happy married life". The announcement post has as of now garnered more than 158,000 likes within two hours of being posted.

Who Is Lohitha Reddy?

Reddy who recently got engaged to the Telugu actor has known him for a long time as they first met in the year 2010. According to Gummakonda's tweet, the duo were best friends previously.
Hailing from Hyderabad, Reddy later graduated from NIT Warangal.
According to a report by Great Andhra, the marriage was arranged by the duo's parents, however, they knew each other for over ten years.

Reportedly, the wedding date is yet to be decided.

Gummakonda who last appeared in the Telugu comedy drama film Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, is most famous for his role in RX 100, a romantic action drama. His other release including Valimai and Raja Vikramarka is also awaiting a release.
