Her body was discovered inside a vehicle near a hiking trail in the city. Pearlman, 43, was best known for her television appearances on shows like Empire, Chicago Justice and General Hospital, to name a few. One of her most recent roles was in the biographical drama show Selena: The Series for which she stepped into the shoes of musician Diane Warren.
In a note on social media, Pearlman's husband Vance Smith confirmed her death the day she was found. "The police found Lindsey. She's gone... I'm broken," he wrote.

Mystery shrouds Pearlman's death, making it a talking point for fans on the internet, especially on platforms like TikTok. As per the New York Post, the cause of Pearlman's death was deferred despite the completion of autopsy and reportedly remains undetermined.
"The medical examiner is requesting more investigation into the death, including additional studies," a spokesperson was quoted saying.
A statement from the family of the deceased has asked for privacy. Tributes from actors and colleagues of Pearlman are pouring in on social media. Actor-writer Lynn Chen, who was a friend of Pearlman, tweeted, "She lit up every room. She listened intently on stage and off. She so loved animals."
Frank Valentini, General Hospital producer, wrote, "Lindsey Pearlman was terrific on @GeneralHospital and we are saddened to hear of this tragedy."

Pearlman was last seen on February 15, Tuesday, at around 9 PM in Los Angeles, according to friends and family quoted in reports. Calls had been put out to the public for help in locating her whereabouts. A cousin of Pearlman tweeted that her phone last showed activity near Sunset Boulevard. They also shared details to a suicide helpline.
On Friday morning, officials responded to a call directing them to a death in the Hollywood neighbourhood. The deceased was later identified as Pearlman. She was found inside a vehicle near the entry of Runyon Canyon Park.
