Mariana Varela and Fabiola Valentin, who won Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico, respectively, in 2020, have recently announced their marriage. Argentina and Puerto Rico legalised same-sex marriage in 2015 and 2010. They spent two years in a secret relationship.
At the Miss Grand International 2020, Mariana Varela and Fabiola Valentin became friends and stayed close throughout the competition. They uploaded a video with their fans, overwhelmed with congratulations and well wishes for the newlyweds. They both appeared to be celebrating the start of this brand-new, lovely chapter of their life while twinned in white.
Who Is Fabiola Valentin?
- She is a native of Camuy, Puerto Rico. She won La Cara de IMAGEN 2015 at La Concha A Renaissance Resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in August 2015 after competing against 11 other finalists. She then began working as a professional model.
- She studied journalism at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazon in San Juan from 2017 to 2021, where she received her bachelor's degree.
- She participated in Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 on June 13 at the Luis A. Ferré Fine Arts Center in San Juan alongside 27 other contestants as a representative of Camuy. Madison Anderson was the winner, and she came second.
- She was officially titled Miss Grand Puerto Rico 2020 on December 2, 2020. She competed at SHOW DC in Bangkok, Thailand, on March 27, 2021, as Miss Grand International 2020 for Puerto Rico against 62 other contestants, including Mariana Valera of Argentina. She and Valera both placed among the Top 10.
- She married Valera at the Centro Judicial de San Juan in San Juan on October 28, 2022. On October 31, 2022, she and Valera posted a social media statement about getting married.
