Athira Preetha has been chosen to participate in the International Institute of Astronautical Science's astronaut training programme. The Canadian Space Agency, the National Research Council of Canada, and NASA all work together to oversee the training programme. Rani underwent a number of steps, including medical tests.

Who Is Athira Preetha Rani?

Athira Preetha, a 24-year-old native of Thiruvananthapuram was born to V Venu and Preetha. Reportedly, Athira Preetha was interested in space programe since she was in primary school, and her knowledge grew as a result of her attendance at lectures given by the Astra astronomical club in the capital of Kerala.

Preetha was adamant about what she wanted to do with her life and managed her work in addition to her academics. Preetha entered Algonquin College in Ottawa, Canada, at a young age on a scholarship to study robotics.

According to reports, she has always wished to be a pilot. She saved her money, enrolled in the flying school, finished her training there, and also finished her robotics course with honours. Preetha also got married at this time to the love of her life, and the two of them co-founded a business focused on space studies. They then launched the Exo Geo Aerospace Company.

Preetha and her husband already had a space company, and she then began looking into several astronaut training courses. Preetha was eventually chosen for admission to the International Institute of Aeronautical Science.
