Alexandra Breckenridge Shares Update On Virgin River Season 4 Production

The new season of romantic drama Virgin River could be releasing soon. How do we know? The series' lead star Alexandra Breckenridge dropped a major update on the production work of the season. The actor who plays Mel Monroe on the show shared that she had just completed a crucial step in the production of the show.

Breckenridge's Instagram story seems to suggest that the shooting for season 4 for Virgin River has been completed and now the project is in post-production stage. The show is expected to release somewhere in the third quarter of 2022 but the exact date has not yet been revealed. Fans can't keep calm for the next season as the third edition of the show ended with a cliffhanger, leaving its leads in a tricky spot.

Virgin River New Season Release Coming Soon, Alexandra Breckenridge Drops Hint

On February 17, Breckenridge took to her Instagram stories to reveal the status of post-production work on the new season of Virgin River. She said, "Just went and finished my last ADR for Virgin River. For those of you who don’t know what ADR is, I think it stands for Audio Digital Recording". The actor went on to explain to her followers why dubbing is required in movies and series. Now that the actor has completed the audio dubbing for the series, which is basically a major part of post-production, we are anticipating a release date announcement from the makers in near future.

Breckenridge shot the video in her car while she was waiting outside a salon to get her nail done, she said in the video. She also shared some of the snacks that she brought with her and wished that the viewers were having an exciting day. She later admitted that finishing the ADR for season 4 was exciting. Her story on Instagram is a big hope for the fans as they are eagerly waiting to witness Mel and Jack reunite on-screen once again.

While season 4 has completed a major part of post-production and will hopefully be releasing soon, the series will also have a season 5 as announced previously by the makers of the show. The shoot and production for season 5 will possibly begin after the fourth one.
