Twitter Tributes Pour In For Sheila Dikshit On Her Second Death Anniversary

On occasion of her second death anniversary, several people including the general public and politicians paid tribute to the former Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit.

Second Death Anniversary Sheila Dikshit: The three-time Delhi Chief Minister and Congress leader, Sheila Dikshit passed away at the age of 81 two years ago after being ill for a long time.

Dikshit is the longest-serving Chief Minister of Delhi as she served for 15 years and led her party to three consecutive electoral victories in the capital.

On the occasion of her second death anniversary, several people including the general public and politicians paid tribute to the former Chief Minister of Delhi. The Working President Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, Kuljit Nagra paid tribute to Late Sheila Dixit calling her an able and strong leader who always led by example.

Kuldeep Bishnoi, who is a Member of Parliament also paid his tribute to the former Chief Minister of Delhi calling her a humble human being.

Former MLA Devender Yadav remembered and paid his tributes to the former Chief Minister of Delhi. He further called her a leader of great substance and added that he misses his able guidance and governance.

The vice president of the Indian National Congress Delhi, Shivani Chopra, paid her tribute to Dixit and wrote, "Humble tribute to an eminent stateswoman & people’s Chief Minister, Lt. Smt. #SheilaDikshit Ji. She will forever live on in everyone’s heart as the architect of modern Delhi, with her innumerable contributions to development in the Capital city. (sic)"

The present Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal also paid tribute to the former Chief Minister of Delhi.

Apart from politicians, the general public also remembered and paid their tribute to Late Sheila Dixit. A Twitter user remembered Dixit's political, administrative, and intellectual legacy in Delhi politics and beyond.

Another netizen wrote, "Remembering the Senior Congress Leader, Stateswoman & former Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. #SheilaDixit Ji on her death anniversary. She is the longest-serving female chief minister of any Indian state, she served for a period of 15 years beginning in 1998. (sic)"
