The first part of Pushpa was postponed due to the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
Allu Arjun had tweeted about the film and had written, "Pushpa - The Rise to release in five languages this Christmas. పుష్ప പുഷ്പ புஷ்பா ಪುಷ್ಪ पुष्पा"

The film's music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. It is directed by Sukumar. And is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media. The producers said in a statement, "Pushpa is an action-packed story that has moments that tug at the heart and filming it has been a joyride. The film has already created a lot of buzz among the audiences and we are thrilled to announce that the first part will get a Christmas release this year. "
The film is also written by the director Sukumar. His film Arya has gained recognition.
The movie will be starring Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna. Faasil is known for his work in the films Malik, Joji, Kumbalangi Nights.
The film will release in five languages - Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.
Taran Adarsh, a Bollywood trade analyst shared on social media on Tuesday, "Aamir Khan-Allu Arjun: the big Christmas clash... With Pushpa: Part 1 - the pan-India film starring Allu Arjun - announcing Christmas 2021 release, the much-awaited biggie will now clash with Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, also arriving on Christmas."
According to reports, Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha would be clashing with Pushpa: The Rise during the release. Laal Singh Chaddha is a remake of the 1994 classic Forrest Gump. It is being produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
The films are scheduled to release on December 25 2021.
