Taapsee Pannu wraps up Do Baaraa shoot: Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and actor Taapsee Pannu have been busy shooting for their upcoming film Do Baaraa. The duo has finally wrapped the shoot for the Sci-Fi thriller. Sharing on her Instagram Stories, Pannu posted a behind-the-scene photo and wrote, "Last day of being Anatara," referring to her character in the film. The makers had restarted the shooting of the film earlier this month after a break caused by the Income Tax Department’s raids on the properties of Kashyap and Pannu.
For Do Baaraa, Pannu and Kashyap are teaming up again after their 2018 film Manmarziyaan. "Last day on the set so making sure we shower a lot of her on our own selves," Pannu captioned one of her videos that she had shared on Instagram Stories. In the video, she is seen hugging director Kashyap. "My claim: I know mera acha performance hai. His claim: he will give himself a medal for that," she further wrote.
Earlier, both Kashyap and Pannu had taken to social media and posted a photo revealing that the shoot for the film was back on track after an unprecedented break due to the IT raid. The picture showed Pannu sitting on a chair while the director sits on her lap. Kashyap captioned the post, “And we restart #DoBaaraa .. with all our love to all the haters .. (sic).”
Talking about the film, Kashyap had said, "Our vision with Do Baaraa is to bring a fresh, new story to the audience and I am very excited for it. This will be my third collaboration with Taapsee and this time the attempt is to bring an interesting new take on thrillers."
Pannu had added, “This is going to be a one-of-its-kind thriller. I have been very lucky with thriller genre in my career so far and I always look forward to pushing the envelope under this genre. This is going to be unique more so because it’s got someone like Anurag directing it and Ekta (Kapoor) backing it. It’s my second collaboration with Anurag after Manmarziyaan and Sunir (Kheterpal) after Badla so I know there are expectations riding on this. Also it’s the first time I am working with a super woman like Ekta so it’s going to be a memorable experience for sure.”
On February 22, Pannu announced that the shoot of Do Baaraa had begun, posting an on-set photo with the caption, “My #DobaaraaSeries Coz some collaborations deserve to be repeated.... Ready to create more memories because we were running out of Manmarziyaan stories to tell... @anuragkashyap10 let’s do this #Dobaaraa (sic).”
The Badla actor's properties were raided by the Income Tax Department on March 3, due to alleged tax evasion. “I know I’m in the public eye and we pay a cost of being a public figure. So you need to be ready for any kind of scrutiny at any point,” she said in a statement after the IT raids.
Pannu has several projects lined up for release this year, including Haseen Dillruba, Rashmi Rocket, Dobaaraa and Loop Lapeta, which is releasing on October 22.
