Soup Teaser Out! Konkona Sen Sharma and Manoj Bajpayee Team Up For Netflix's Dark Comedy

A dark comedy, Soup teaser was released by Netflix featuring Konkona Sen Sharma and Manoj Bajpayee. The film centres around murder, revenge, thriller along with comedy.

Netflix on the occasion of their Tudum fan event has released a number of teasers for the upcoming films and series on their platform. Films like Monica O My Darling, Rana Naidu, Khufiya and many more had their teasers released as well. Soup is directed by Abhishek Chaubey and the teaser is leaving the audience in a confusing state, for the way it is presented.

Soup Teaser

The ">teaser begins with Manoj Bajpayee with one eye covered looking at a portrait of himself but looks like it was drawn ages back and the eyes cut out. The teaser continues while showing glimpses of blood, death, carrying a dead body, and leads to a conversation between Konkona Sen Sharma and Manoj Bajpayee in the conversation as they keep showing some brutal shots along with shots of cooking a meat soup. The shows the main characters speaking about their life together as Konkona's character says, "If... by any chance, this works out, just imagine, you will have everything and we will be married." The conversation hints at an extramarital affair between the lead characters. Actor Kameela Nasser can be seen in the teaser too. There are elements of comedy in several places, especially when Bajpayee and Sharma think that Nasser is dead but he wakes up and says he isn't.

The name Soup of the film might actually be referring to a bowl of soup as there are several shots of chopping vegetables and cooking a broth and later plating a bowl of soup with a piece of meat on it. There are also images of dead animals and humans shown leading to a very interesting plotline of the film. Bajpayee can be seen in two different looks which creates mystery as well. Netflix India on the release of the teaser has written, "Straight from the kitchen, onto your screens - this dark comedy-drama is going to blow your minds! 🤯".

Soup Release Date

The release date for Soup hasn't been officially announced yet. Fans are waiting for the release of the dark comedy and to see the Bajpayee on a streaming platform in a polarly opposite role after his massive hit Family Man, which released its second season last year.
