Late politician and actor Sonali Phogat’s last film Prerna will be released soon. The filmmakers revealed information about the film on Monday, September 12.
The Bharatiya Janta Party leader Sonali Phogat’s final film is titled Prerna and is a motivational film. The director and producer Naresh Dhanda stars in the film opposite Phogat. Dhanda described it as a “motivational movie”. The director said the film followed Phogat’s character Prerna who explains to students that they shouldn’t lose courage and hope and always move forward.

Phogat’s daughter Yashodhara recently released the film’s poster. Dhanda also mentioned that the film was ready but wanted to add a tribute for the late actor. He said, “The movie is ready now, but I want to shoot a song with Yashodhara which you people can see at the end of the movie which is a tribute to Sonali Phogat. Because I want to pay tribute to Sonali Phogat through this song.”
The director and producer added that he planned on making a biographical film about Phogat’s life. Dhanda said her life had “become a film” and said, “The way she came from a village and later worked her way into Bigg Boss and TV and later into movies in commendable.”
Dhanda mentioned that the biographical film about Phogat will be his next project.
Sonali Phogat Death Case
The late actor and politician Sonali Phogat died in Goa at the age of 42. She is survived by her daughter Yashodhara. She was born in Hisar, Haryana and rose to fame on the social media platform TikTok. Phogat debuted as a TV anchor in 2006 before she joined BJP.
Phogat’s death was initially suspected to be caused by a heart attack, but an autopsy report discovered “multiple blunt force injuries” on her body and the Goa police opened a murder investigation.
Phogat’s associates Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh were arrested by the police. The Anjuna police arrested drug dealer Dattaprasad Gaonkar for allegedly supplying narcotics to Singh and Edwin Nunes, the owner of the restaurant and nightclub Phogat visited before her death.
The police also registered a separate narcotics case against the accused.
Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant said that the case of Sonali Phogat’s death would be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
