Why Is Shikha Singh Facing Backlash For Her Latest Photoshoot?

Shikha Singh topless photo controversy: Television actor Shikha Singh, who is best known for playing the role of Aaliya in popular daily soap Kumkum Bhagya has been receiving online hate and criticism after posting a topless picture on her Instagram account on Wednesday, July 7. The actor shared the picture in which she was lying down on a bed and captioned the post, "Theme of the night was Red".

Her friends and costars and several of her fans dropped positive comments on the Instagram post. Actor Ashita Dhawan dropped fire emojis, while Sriti Jha, who was Singh's co-star in Kumkum Bhagya, wrote, "Ab Mai ghar aajau?"

Actors Ashlesha Savant, Ashita Dhawan, and Charu Mehra and other fans dropped fire and heart eyes emojis on the picture. One of the fans of Singh complimented her writing, "You are looking like a goddess with red lipstick", while another fan wrote, "Queeen".

However, several trolls have targeted Singh for her photoshoot. One of the platform users wrote that he did not "expect" such a post from Singh. Several other trolls also left similar comments on the post writing, "Ye expect nhi kiya tha apse," and "Yeah sahi nahi hai" in the comments section.

Singh, who gave birth to a baby girl last year, is yet to respond to the trolling. Just few days ago, the new mom had shared an image of her breast-feeding her daughter, with the caption, "We live in a society where a mother catches less hell for giving her toddler a coke than she does for giving her toddler Breastmilk. I am working to change that in my lifetime ~~~~ Deanna Decker."

Who is Shikha Singh?

Shikha Singh is an Indian television actor who is primarily known for her role in the television show Kumkum Bhagya. Singh made her debut in the industry with the SAB TV show Left Right Left as Cadet Aakriti Bhat and was next seen in the show Meri Doli Tere Angana. Some of her other shows are Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan, Uttaran, Na Aana Is Des Laado, Phulwa, Kumkum Bhagya, and Adaalat among others. Singh was also seen in the role of Shikhandi in the TV show Mahabharat.
