Riverdale Season 6 Part 2 Release Date: What We Can Tell You

Riverdale fans can sigh in relief, looks like the second part of season 6 is finally going to air later this month, After a delay that the fans had not signed up for, viewers will finally get to know what fate holds next for Archie and his gang and how many of them will be able to stay back in the town.

Created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the chief creative officer of Archie Comics on which the characters of the series are based, this drama series made its debut in 2017 and ever since, has managed to retain its popularity. The series is about four high school students, who try to unravel the mystery behind a teenager's murder in their town, Riverdale. However, the investigation reveals many evil secrets about their seemingly calm and simple town.

Riverdale features Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, KJ Apa and Camila Mendes in lead roles. Four high school friends- Archie Andrews (KJ Apa), Betty Cooper Mendes), Veronica Lodge (Reinhart) and Jughead Jones(Sprouse), find themselves caught in a web of deceit and dark secrets that could not only disrupt their lives but that of other people in town.

Aside from the mystery, the bunch of teens also struggles to navigate through their complex love lives, with Archie having feelings for both Betty and Veronica. Riverdale has a companion series- Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which revolves around Sabrina Spellman's character from the Archie Comics universe. In 2021, Kiernan Shipka, who plays the role of Sabrina in the spin-off series, finally joined the cast of Riverdale with its sixth season.

Riverdale Season 6 Part 2 Release Date

While Riverdale airs on the CW Network in the US, its rights for the global broadcast lie with Netflix. Season 6 of Riverdale was split into two parts, the first one of which was released in November 2021. Season 5 of the series saw a time leap, with its cast members now featured as adults who have careers and marriages to take their life forward. The group however finds itself rooted in the town of Riverdale.

The second part of season 6 was reportedly scheduled for a March 6, 2022 release. However, to accommodate the upcoming Critic's Choice Awards that will be broadcasted on March 13, the release was pushed forward by two weeks. The second edition of Season 6 for Riverdale will now premiere on March 20, on CW.
