The Indian National Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi shared a throwback picture of Rahul Gandhi and her as the bhai dooj post on Twitter. She shared it with a caption wishing her brother and leader Rahul Gandhi. "I am proud and happy that my brother is fighting for the truth with compassion, love and courage. Wishing you all a very Happy Bhai Dooj. PS This picture is from the time when my brother won a lot of medals in the shooting competition," read the post.
In the picture shared, young Rahul Gandhi with rectangle thick-rimmed glasses is wearing his medals and posing with Priyanka Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi is known for his several achievements in sports, for example, he is a black belt in Aikido, which is Japanese martial art. The Congress social media page on Instagram shared a photo of him doing Aikido and the participation certificate from the National Rifle Association of India.
As per the certificate, he had participated in 32nd National Shooting Championship Competitions in 1988-89 and came fourth with a score of 271 out of 300.

This is not the first time that the Congress Secretary for Uttar Pradesh shared a throwback picture with her brother on the occasion of Bhai Dooj. In 2019, too, she posted a collage of pictures with her brother and the caption, "love you @RahulGandhi."
She often posts pictures with her brother and the duo is known to share a close bonding.On Raksha Bandhan too she posted a childhood picture of them and captioned it, "@RahulGandhi I guess things haven't changed that much, haan?!..best brother in the world!"
