Pooja Bhatt Bombay Begums Set For Release: Bhatt will now been seen as a boss woman in her latest feminist drama Bombay Begums. The much-awaited series is special as it marks Bhatt's comeback after many years. Moreover, the series holds much promise as it aims to question patriarchy by telling us stories of five women who are dealing with their struggles.

These are women from different backgrounds who wish to emerge as victors while dealing with stereotypes. The Netflix series will be released on International Women's Day on March 8 and fans are already excited after watching the trailer.

Pooja Bhatt brilliantly personates a schizophrenic girl who in love with a movie director named Rahul. The film is a sad romance which becomes complicated with Pooja's mental condition in the film. Moreover, the film's climax is something that will make it too hard for you to swallow its sad ending.

Chaahat (1996) 

This romantic musical film tells the tale of a man who is trying to escape from a girl named Reshma who is overly-obsessed with him. He eventually gets married to lady love (Pooja Bhatt), who have to deal with all the adversities put forth by Reshma and her brother. You will surely fall in love the film's main highlight which are the songs.

Tamanna (1998) 

In this film, Pooja Bhatt plays the titular role of a girl who is the abandoned daughter of s politician. She is brought up by a eunuch (Paresh Rawal) who makes a living by being a make-up artist and hairdresser of Bollywood actresses. However, when he founds out about  Tamanna's true family, he tells her about it. Do watch the film for Rawal's excellent performance, and also the ending.

This film bagged the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration and received a lot of praise. Pooja Bhatt plays the role of a Muslim woman who is in love with a Hindu man. However, a gang of Muslim rioters burn her for having children with her Hindu lover. The film will emotionally move you as it deals with how a fundamentalist leader tries to politicise the communal tensions between Hindus and Muslims. It is up to Bhatt's children to improve the situation for their mother's sake.
