Upcoming OTT Releases In December


Gurmeet Singh and Parveez Sheikh collaborated on the story and screenplay for the action thriller Freddy. Along with Alaya F, Tripti Agarwal, and numerous other actors who have seen them in supporting roles, the film casts Jeniffer Piccinato and Kartik Aaryan in the primary lead roles. Ekta Kapoor and Jay Shewakramani are the producers of the movie under the Balaji Motion Pictures brand. Freddy is all set to premiere directly in Disney+ Hotstar on December 2nd, 2022.


Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna starred in the family drama movie Goodbye, which had its theatrical release on October 7, 2022. The Vikas Bahl-directed movie was one of the most anticipated ones to come out this month. The Goodbye team celebrated Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday by posting a special video tribute to the megastar on Instagram from fans wishing the megastar a happy birthday. OTT service Netflix reportedly obtained the film’s exclusive digital streaming rights and will release it six weeks after its theatrical release.

India Lockdown

India Lockdown will have its world premiere on ZEE5, the video streaming service owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., on December 2. Produced by Pranav Jain’s P J Motions Pictures, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Bhandarkar Entertainment, and Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, it shows how the covid-19 pandemic has affected the people of India. Aahana Kumra, Shweta Basu Prasad, Prateik Babbar, Sai Tamhankar, and Prakash Belawadi appear in it.

On December 2, 2022, the filmmakers of Vadhandhi – The Fable of Velonie decided to make the film available on Amazon Prime Video. On November 17, the series debuted its first image, and on November 22, its trailer debuted. The series’ principal part is played by renowned South Indian actor and director S.J. Suryah, who is paired with actress Laila. Her contributions to Pithamagan, Dheena, Ullam Ketkumae, and Dhill are well known.

Tripti Dimri is on the way to her second film with Netflix with Anvita Dutt Guptan’s Qala. The film revolves around a complex relationship between a mother and daughter duo. It is a musical as it is based on the life of a singer played by Dimri. The film will also be the debut project for Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan and they will share the screen with popular Bengali actress Swastika Mukherjee. Qala releases on Netflix on December 1, 2022.
