Only Murders in the Building new season: Only Murders in the Building is an American mystery-comedy streaming television series about three strangers, played by Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, who develop a passion for a true crime podcast.

Only Murders in the Building is set at the Arconia, a luxury apartment complex on New York City's Upper West Side. When their building receives a fire alarm, three true-crime fans — Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) — bond over their obsession and own particular theories about a recent podcast they are listening to.

Following a series of adventures and near-death situations, the three crime podcasters meet Jan, played by Amy Ryans, the murderer, and, after a struggle, have her imprisoned. The scene shifts to Mabel near Bunny's dead body and the trio being caught just as they were celebrating their successful reveal.

The series got positive reviews, with appreciation for its comic approach to crime fiction, as well as the principal actors' performances and chemistry. Season 2 is set to pick up where Season 1 left off, with Mabel, Charles, and Oliver as the major suspects. The second season will focus on Bunny's assailant and how these three will clear their names. It'll be interesting to see how they prove their innocence and catch the true criminal.

On March 25, an official &t=9s">teaser for season 2 was published, giving us a preview of the next adventures as well as a new character, Alice, played by Cara Delevingne. Meanwhile, Gomez, Martin, and Short will reprise their roles in the upcoming season, which will premiere on Hulu's OTT platform.

The series' second trailer was released on March 28, 2022, and it shows the trio proclaiming their innocence as evidence keeps emerging in their apartments. As they locate a bloodied knife, Oliver  comments, "Someone's toying with us." Mabel proclaims, "We need to find the true killer."

In September 2021, the series was renewed for a second season. Only Murders in the Building's new season will begin on June 28, 2022.
