Mira Rajput shares health secret for summer: Bollywood star wife Mira Rajput Kapoor recently shared an ayurvedic remedy for good health during the summer season on Instagram. Not only did the mother of two young kinds share her recipe of gulkand, she also listed out its benefits for those who were in two minds to try it out.

Mira Rajput Kapoor, who married actor Shahid Kapoor in 2015 is quite active on social media. She recently shared a video from her handle, revealing how she made gulkand or jam made from rose petals at home, which was "easier than expected and so much fun."

She captioned the video, "Rose Apothecary. We tried making Gulkand from the Desi Gulab growing in the garden and it was easier than I expected and so much fun!" She also elaborated the benefits of gulkand saying that it is known for its cooling and Pitta-pacifying (curing acidity) properties. And with the heat setting in, this can help almost everyone," she added in her post

Mira Kapoor further added that she has gulkand daily. She also gave her followers a step-by-step procedure of preparing the jam easily at home. Rajput's post suggests that her kids Misha and Zain too helped out with the recipe.

Here's how Mira Rajput Kapoor makes gulkand at home:

All you need is :

-Desi Gulab and Misri in equal proportion

-Elaichi powder

-A glass jar to allow the sunlight to pass through

-little helping hands

Process: "Layer the Rose petals, Misri and Elaichi powder and repeat. I was expecting the jar to be full but not all the roses had bloomed and we were quite excited to do this today so went ahead with half a jar."

Rajput then instructed that the jar should be then placed under the sun and its contents should be mixed every few days. "If it fails not all is lost!" she added.
