Meet The Female Characters Of 'The Girl On The Train'

Parineeti Chopra starrer 'The Girl on the Train' has some powerful roles by women. The Netflix mystery thriller film has not only impressed us with the incredible direction but also the cast. The film has six female actors. The Girl on the Train cast is impressive and hosts actors with experience. The movie revolves around the life of Mira played by Parineeti Chopra. Advocate Mira gets pulled inside a murder mystery while is leading a not-so-normal life as obsesses over a so-called ideal couple that she sees on the train every day.

Meet the Girl on the Train cast:

1. Parineeti Chopra as Advocate Mira Kapoor

We see Parineeti Chopra in the lead role, playing the character of an advocate who is recovering from a divorce. As she travels through the train and passes through her ex-husband's house, she fixates on a happy couple on the train. Due to her conditions, she loses her memories and wakes up covered in blood. The next thing you know is that she is trying to retrieve her memories to solve a murder she got dragged in.

Chopra said in a statement, "The Girl On The Train’ was an entirely different experience for me as I have never played this kind of role before. Getting into the character of Meera Kapoor and working closely with (director) Ribhu (Dasgupta) to bring her to life was an immense learning experience for me."

She further added, "As an actor, I have always wanted to challenge myself with more, and this role gave me the opportunity to do so. ‘The Girl On The Train’ will take the audiences on a dark journey trying to piece together the reality of who actually committed the crime and have them guessing the truth."

2. Kirti Kulhari as Inspector Kaur

The cop that investigates the murder case is played by Kirti Kulhari. The Indian actress and model was seen in various award-winning movies like Uri: The Surgical Strike. She is also the part of the show that depicts female friendship in bold manner,' Four More Shots Please'.

3. Aditi Rao Hydari as Nusrat John

Aditi Rao Hydari plays the role of the victim whose murder Mira is dragged into. Winning the IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actor (Female) for the movie Padmaavat, Hydari has proved her incredible acting skills time and again.

4. Nisha Aaliya as Piya, Mira’s friend

Someone from Mira's side, Nisha Aaliya plays Mira's friend. She appeared in the Sony Pictures-India production of Shakuntala Devi, a 2020 release, which streamed on Amazon Prime and stars acclaimed Indian actress Vidya Balan- who Nisha's character interviewed in a pivotal scene.

5. Monisha Hassen as Zehra, Shekhar’s boss

Shekhar Kapoor is Mira's ex-husband and Monisha Hassen plays the role of his boss. She is an actress, known for Thaandavam (2012), and Mr. Misunderstanding (2020).

6. Natasha Benton as Anjali Kapoor

As the movie goes ahead, we see Natasha Benton playing the role of Shekhar's second wife. Benton is a fresh face and as long as we know, this is her first movie.
