Meena Harris's Tweet On Bras Has Us Nodding In Approval

Meena Harris goes braless: If you've not been wearing a bra much lately, you need to read Meena Harris's latest tweet.  "I hate bras so much now I don’t care if I have 5 mins between zooms I am taking that monster off," she tweeted on Friday. The tweet will resonate with many women, who have begun questioning the relevance of bras in this day and age.

One user suggested that she should try "Negative Underwear" adding that it is the "Most comfortable things in the world", to which Harris replied, "Ok buying now."

"Release the hounds!" another user replied to Harris' tweet. "They are the worst thing ever!!! How did we go all those years thinking it was ok? Going braless this past year has made me realize why people burned their bras back in the day," wrote another social media user.

You know, if bras became a thing of the past and no longer considered 'necessary' for women to wear after this past year, I wouldn't mind one bit: Meena Harris goes braless and Twitter agrees.

This isn't the first time Harris has endorsed going braless. Late last year, the American lawyer and children’s book author had tweeted, "My first time wearing a bra for more than three hours since COVID and I’m homicidal."

Well, this witty woman is the niece of US Vice President Kamala Harris and a Harvard graduated lawyer and social media star. San Francisco-based Harris is also an entrepreneur who worked in Uber previously along with her stepfather Tony West. Four years ago, she founded a clothing company called Phenomenal Woman that sells t-shirts with socially relevant messages. "I want to work on building our Ambitious Woman collection and messaging.…The idea of Kamala being on a ticket for ambitious woman is something we should engage with more," she had said.

Earlier, Harris was trolled after she extended support to the farmers' protest, also tweeting in the arrest of activists Nodeep Kaur and Disha Ravi. "23 yo labor rights activist Nodeep Kaur was arrested, tortured & sexually assaulted in police custody. She’s been detained without bail for over 20 days," read one of her tweets. However, the 36-year-old refused to be silenced following the backlash. "I won’t be intimidated, and I won’t be silenced," she tweeted. Read more on that here.
