Web Show 'Masoom' To Premiere Online Soon; Meet The Cast Of The Series

Masoom is an upcoming web series that is an Indian adaptation of the Irish drama series Blood. The six-part psychological thriller series is set in Falauli, Punjab, and chronicles a daughter's struggle to learn the truth about her mother's death, despite her family's desire to keep the truth hidden under the mask of love and protection.

Blood, which is the original series, ran on Channel 5 in the UK and Virgin One in Ireland in 2018 and starred Adrian Dunbar and Carolina Main. While Masoom's cast includes stars Boman Irani and Samara Tijori, who have a complex father-daughter relationship.

The film's poster, which has Irani and Tijori sitting by a lake, was released ahead of the trailer's premiere. The caption of the poster read, "Jo masoom dikhte hain kabhi kabhi hote nahi," which implies, "Those who appear innocent, sometimes they aren't."

The first trailer was released on June 8, and the nearly 2-minute trailer was well-received by viewers. According to the trailer, Boman Irani plays a mysterious father with a dark past, and Samara Tijori plays his daughter, who returns home in order to bring the truth to light, even if it means going against her own father. Meet Masoom Cast

Irani will play the role of father, and his best roles to date are Main Hoon Na, Jolly LLB, Bhoothnath Returns, Housefull 3 and 3 Idiots. He recently appeared in the films 83, Runway 34, and Jayeshbhai Jordaar.

Samara Tijori, the daughter of 90s actor Deepak Tijori, will portray the part of a daughter in the upcoming series. She assisted director Rohit Dhawan during the production of Dishoom (2016), which starred John Abraham, Varun Dhawan, and Jacqueline Fernandez. She also appeared in the short film Grand Plan (2019). She was last seen in Bob Biswas as an actor in 2021.

The series also includes Manjari Fadnis, Veer Rajwant Singh, Upasana Singh, and Manurishi Chaddha as part of the lead cast.

Masoom Release Date

Masoom, directed by Mihir Desai and produced by showrunner Gurmeet Singh, will premiere on Disney plus Hotstar on June 17th.
