Several celebrities including Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Perez Hilton, and Kevin Federline have previously spoken against Britney Spears' conservatorship. Spears' sister Jamie Lynn Spears also took to Instagram a few days ago and posted a story to open up about how proud she was of her older sister for speaking out at a hearing.

On June 23, Britney Spears addressed the issue of her conservatorship for the first time and urged the judge to end her conservatorship. Spears' conservatorship gave her father control over her affairs since 2008. Since then, her finance and personal life have been largely managed by her father Jamie Spears. The singer alleged that over the years in her conservatorship, she had been forced to perform, was given no privacy, and was subjected to numerous psych evaluations and medications. She also added that she never brought these issues on social media as she feared that no one would believe her.
