Lara Dutta COVID vaccine: Ever since the vaccination drive against COVID-19 commenced in India, numerous celebs have shared pictures of themselves getting jabbed on social media. While many have called it an indulgent practice on the part of our stars, several social media users feel that such pictures could in fact encourage others to get their COVID-19 vaccination. However, there are many celebs who have chosen to get their shot without much fanfare- one of them being Lara Dutta.

When asked whether or not she has received her shot on Twitter, Dutta retorted that just because she didn't share a picture, "doesn't mean it didn't happen!!"

The response came when a fan page asked Dutta on June 18 in a tweet if she got vaccinated. Dutta's response left her followers in splits.

Former Miss Universe Lara Dutta is married to tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi. The couple welcomed daughter Saira in 2012. Speaking about motherhood, Dutta has previously said that it is a blessing unique to womenkind. "Motherhood takes vanity completely out of the picture. Comfort is the key. When you are coming out of a plane after a 9-hour flight with drool all over your clothes, the last thing you are worried about is being photographed. During the second wave of the pandemic, Dutta hosted a virtual fundraiser called “I Breathe For India”. Many celebs, such as, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Samantha Prabhu, Genelia Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Faye D Souza, Anil Kapoor joined the fundraiser for COVID-19 relief work. Dutta said that she was honoured to be a part of it, believing that it had given her purpose. The actor further added that she was determined to help the people of India in defeating the pandemic.
