Kriti Sanon on Sushant death: Actors Kriti Sanon has finally opened up on why she refrained from speaking openly about Sushant Singh Rajput's death. The actor died by suicide in June last year, at the age of 34. Sanon had worked with Rajput in the 2017 film Raabta.

Sanon and Rajput were reportedly good friends. Following the actor's death she had shared a post on Instagram, writing that a part of her heart was gone with him. "I knew that your brilliant mind was your best friend and your worst enemy.. but it has broken me completely to know that you had a moment in your life where Dying felt easier or better than Living," she wrote in her post. Sanon also added, "I so wish you had people around you to get you past THAT moment, i wish you hadn’t pushed the ones who loved you away.. i wish i could have fixed that something which was broken inside you..I couldn’t.."

Now almost a year after the actor's death, which is being probed by three national-level investigation agencies, Sanon said that she didn't say much on Rajput's passing as there was so much "noise" around it that she didn't want to be a part of it. "It reached a point where people stopped being sensitive, and there was too much negativity around. I didn’t want to be a part of that negativity."

She further added, "I knew what I felt about the situation and I wanted to keep that to myself. I didn’t feel the need to talk to anyone about anything that I was feeling. Also, what you want to say, you can always say it on social media. You can write and express yourself instead of talking out loud.”

In December last year, Sanon had tested positive for COVID-19. "I’d like to inform everyone that I have tested positive for Covid-19. There’s absolutely nothing to worry as I’m feeling fine and have quarantined myself as per BMC and my doctor’s advice. So I’m gonna ride this tide, rest it out and resume work soon. Till then, I’m reading all the warm wishes and they seem to be working. Be safe guys, the pandemic hasn’t gone yet!" she wrote in her post then.

After testing negative for the disease a few days later, Sanon thanked her well-wishers for all their love and support. Read more on that here.

Sanon will be seen in films like Bachchan Pandey, Mimi and Ganapath this year.
