Shaadisthan Release Date: Directed by filmmaker Raj Singh Choudhary, Kirti Kulhari starrer film released today on OTT. According to the official trailer, the film tells the story of three generations of women and three different struggles with the patriarchal society during each generation. The film shows us the lives of Sasha (Kirti Kulhari) who is a singer, a housewife (Nivedita Bharracharya), and an 18-year-old teenage girl named Arshi (Medha Shankar).

The stories of these three contrasting lives merge together in Shaadisthan to send across a message on female agency and choice. Actor Kirti Kulhari, in an interview with Firstpost, said that it was fascinating to play a character like Sasha. “It also took a lot of work to get Sasha right, you know, in terms of uncovering all of her layers. But at the end of the day, Sasha is someone I would love to be," she said.
Shaadisthan has been co-produced by Famous Studios and Opticus INC. Describing the characters of the film, Choudhary said, “Each character in the movie is unique and celebrates its own individualism and all the other elements of the movie are inspired by real-life scenarios”. The cast of the film includes actors Kirti Kulhari, Medha Shankar, and Nivedita Bhattacharya in the lead roles, alongside Kay Kay Menon and Raja Modi. Besides them, real-life musicians Shenpenn Khymsar, Apurv Dogra, and Ajay Jayanthi are also featured in the film.
Release Date
Shaadisthan had a digital release on June 11.
