In the latest season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Kavita Chawla, a homemaker from Kolhapur became the first contestant to win the cash prize of 1 crore. Kavita is still on the hot seat to answer the 7.5 crore question in the upcoming episode.
Chawla in an exclusive interview with Etimes said, "I am extremely happy to reach till here. I feel proud that I am the first contestant to win 1 crore and I am really hoping and looking forward to answering the 7.5 crore question too. My father and son Vivek are with me in Mumbai, and nobody in my family knows yet that I have won 1 crore. I want them to see the show and surprise them."

Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 14 First Winner Kavita Chawla
Kavita Chawla hails from Kolhapur and has studied only till Class XII. Despite her limited education, she kept her reading and learning interests alive.
Chawla belongs to a middle class family, born to a slipper shopkeeper father and homemaker mother. Her mother Pramila Nirankari took sewing to support family of 4 children, While father Gurbaksh Nirankari at time shifted to Konkan Village to set his slipper business there. Chawla spouse has clothing shop in Kolhapur.
Chawla wanted to be part of the show since the year 2000. Last year she tried to be part of the show but could reach only the fastest finger round. In 2012, Chawla received the first call and three questions were asked on the phone. Chawla panicked unable to answer.
Chawla got her knowledge up by taking her son's studies. Chawla is planning to use the won money to send his son to Vivek abroad for further studies. If she wins the next question of 7.5 crores her plan is to build her own bungalow and travel across India and world. Chawla's favourite place in Meghalaya.
