Satyanarayan Ki Katha: Actor Kartik Aaryan has announced his new movie on Wednesday, June 23 titled Satyanarayan Ki Katha. The film is being directed by National Award winner Sameer Vidwans and is being promoted as an epic love story. Aaryan shared a promo of the film on his Twitter writing, "A story close to my heart. #SatyanarayanKiKatha. A special film with special people. (sic)"

Satyanarayan Ki Katha is being made under Sajid Nadiadwala's banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, and Namah Pictures. Aaryan said in a statement that he had been wanting to work with Nadiawala for some time and that he couldn't have asked for better collaboration. "I’m extremely happy that I am a part of Sajid Sir, Shareen and Kishor’s vision," he said.

The film is said to be a musical love saga that features several National award winners. The film will mark Bollywood debut of Sameer Vidwans, who is best known for his Marathi drama, Anandi Gopal. Sharing his excitement on getting a chance to work with Vidwans, Aaryan said that he has an "astute sense of making sensitive topics highly entertaining."

He also expressed that he feels immense pressure and responsibility since he is the only member of the team without a National award.

Producer Kishor Arora talked to Firstpost and said that he's happy to bring the heartwarming tale to the audiences. The film is expected to start its filming towards the end of this year and hit the cinema in 2022. None of the other cast members including the female lead of the film has been disclosed yet.

Kartik Aaryan was in news in April this year after it was reported that he was no longer a part of Karan Johar's Dostana 2. Johar's Dharma productions too made the announcement publicly about Aaryan's departure from the project, adding that the film will now be recast. Following this, several reports emerged alleging that Aaryan's departure from the film was allegedly due to his unprofessional behaviour on the sets that had miffed the makers.

Several Bollywood celebrities, including Kangana Ranaut stood by Aaryan. In a tweet Ranaut told the actor to "not be scared" also asking Johar and his "gang" to leave him alone. "Leave him alone you vultures, get lost chindi nepos…Kartik no need to be scared of these chillars…. after doing nasty articles and releasing announcements blaming only your attitude for fall out this moron wants to maintain dignified silence. They spread same stories of drug addiction and unprofessional behaviour for SSR also," she tweeted. Read more on that here.
