After being in a relationship for 17 years, filmmaker Hansal Mehta and Safeena Husain have finally tied the knot at an intimate ceremony in San Francisco, California, United States. Their union is a great example of how and why age has nothing to do with love and marriage. Hansal Mehta took to Instagram to announce his wedding with Safeena.
"So after 17 years, two children, watching our sons growing up and chasing our respective dreams we decided to get hitched. As always in life this was also impromptu and unplanned. Our vows however were truthful and but for this little ceremony they would never have been said. Ultimately love prevails over all else. And it has…", reads the caption of the post.

Hansal Mehta got married to Sunita Mehta at a very young age. The couple also had two sons together but their they got divorced after their marriage failed.
A few years later, he met Safeena and fell in love with her. They started living together and even had two daughters, Kimaya and Rehana. They stayed unmarried until 2022.
