Guneet Monga To Tie The Knot With Her Fiance Sunny Kapoor In December

On December 11 and 12, Guneet Monga and Sunny Kapoor will wed in Mumbai. On December 16, there will be additional celebrations in Delhi.

Producer Monga revealed on Monday that she and her boyfriend, fashion mogul Kapoor, will wed in December. The filmmaker said in a statement that Monga will wed Kapoor in Mumbai on December 11 and 12. There will also be further celebrations in Delhi on December 16.

The producer confirmed her engagement to Kapoor in April. She is recognised for supporting highly acclaimed movies including the Gangs of Wasseypur series, Shahid, Masaan, The Lunchbox, and Pagglait.

For Kapoor's elderly grandmother, who later passed away after a battle with cancer, the pair held a pretend wedding in June. "After once staging an entire wedding for Dadi ji, we are now prepared to exchange vows in person. Although I was born and raised in Delhi, Mumbai, my "Karma Bhoomi," is where I currently live.

Guneet Monga revealed today the confirmation and details about her wedding next month. "Here, I've made pals who are like family. With a reception in Delhi, all the ceremonies will take place in Mumbai. I've wanted to be married since I was 18 years old, and last year, I finally met Sunny on a dating app," said Monga.

"I am extremely appreciative to have discovered a family who is so devoted and giving. I have wanted a large family ever since I lost both of my parents when I was 23 and I can't wait for that dream to come true. Can't wait to bring the year to a close with a bang," she continued.

Monga recently posted a photo with her fiance as she wrote a long emotional caption about how the film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge had ruined her. She explained saying that she has been waiting for her Raj since she was 18 and she was ready to commit to her partners from day one of the relationship. She was subjected to age shaming when she reached 39 and people told her, "Ab toh chaalis saal hogaye" and she kept thinking to herself, "Why on earth has my time not come? "

Monga further shared that she doubted herself for not finding her partner, she wrote, "Honestly, I have cursed my body, my intelligence, my way of talking, my education, my middle-class life and even my job designation to be able to find someone!" According To Monga, her advice to young women is, "My dear girlfriends, can I tell you, when the time is right and when that person comes into your life, you just know it. When he shows you how much YOU mean to him. That kind of love is everything."

Monga pretty excitedly spoke about her love story with Sunny Kapoor she wrote, "Aur phir meri real life ki picture main, mera real hero aagaya! And while he is sure of me, this time I am in self-doubt. Really, you love me? Do you want to spend the rest of your life with me? Someone who is in the film industry, living in Bombay and half balding. With tears in his eyes, Sunny said, “you are perfect and I am so lucky that you are mine and the universe made you wait for us!”" The filmmaker concluded by saying, "As cliche as it sounds, when the time is right, the universe makes it happen. In addition to making feature films, Monga worked as an executive producer on the 2019 Academy Award-winning documentary "Period. End of Sentence," which won best documentary short subject. One of the most well-known filmmakers, not just in India but all over the world, Monga represents the triumph of content with her works. To find, promote, and distribute the work of Indian women filmmakers around the world, she just launched the cinema collaborative "Indian Women Rising." The first undertaking she undertook was the short film "Bittu," which won the Student Academy Award and was shortlisted as one of the top 10 movies in the main category of the Academy Award for Best Short Film.
