Kriti Sanon's Ganapath Part 1 To Release In Theatres On December 23 Next Year

Kriti promises her fans action, entertainment and tells them "drama se kam kuch expect mat karn". The film is directed by Queen famed Vikas Bahl and will be in cinemas next year.

Ganapath Part 1 release date: Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s upcoming action thriller Ganapath Part 1 will hit the screens on December 23, 2022. The Mimi actor took to her social media on Saturday to announce: "Ganapath aa rela hai (Ganapath is coming)."  She promises her fans action, entertainment and tells them "drama se kam kuch expect mat karn". The film is directed by Queen famed Vikas Bahl and will be in cinemas next year.

Besides Sanon, the film also features her Heropanti co-star Tiger Shroff as the male lead. He stars in and as Ganapath and the film has been making buzz since the announcement in February. It has also been generating a lot of news as it will have Sanon performing some serious action sequences. She is reportedly undergoing hardcore training for the film and the actor recently revealed to Mid Day that she will be learning dirt biking soon. More here.

Talking about Ganapath, she expressed how thrilling it was to be re-uniting with Shroff, who is predominantly known for his action prowess, after almost seven years. Further calling her character "cool", Sanon said, "I’ve been wanting to explore the genre of action since a while now and I’m super excited to do so." Ganapath Part 1 is bankrolled by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh. Check out the teaser poster here.

Earlier, it was reported that Ganapath Part 1 is set in a post-pandemic, dystopian era. Meanwhile, the actor recently told India Today that she doesn't consider herself an outsider in the film industry. She said she believes in talent and the industry is more than "willing to give you opportunities". Apart from Ganapath Part 1, Sanon also has Hum Do Hamare Do, Bachchan Pandey and Bhediya in the pipeline. She is also a part of Adipurush which also stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh in lead roles. The actor will be seen essaying the character of Sita in the movie.
