Though it doesn't belong to YRF's spy universe, the film reunites Anand with Deepika Padukone, who takes on the role of an action star, showcasing high-energy stunts. Joining the cast are Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor. With Anand and Roshan's history of delivering hits like Bang Bang (2014) and War (2019), expectations are soaring for this action extravaganza.
Just a couple of months away from hitting theatres, fans are eagerly awaiting the trailer for Fighter. In an update from News18 Showsha, there's news about the teaser's release date. Though the full trailer is still pending, the report has hinted that the teaser for Fighter is set to be unveiled in December. This sneak peek will likely introduce audiences to Siddharth Anand's signature sleek and stylized cinematic world that has become his trademark over the years.
Fighter revealed its first look on social media to mark Independence Day. The poster showcases the film's lead actors, Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan, dressed in aviation suits.
Responding to his wife Deepika Padukone's post, Ranveer Singh commented in the section below, saying, "Whaaaao love it! Looks insane! Can't wait." Padukone shared the poster on her Instagram, captioning it, "A salute to our glorious nation. Happy Independence Day! Fighter in theatres on the eve of India's 75th Republic Day. #25thJanuary2024."

The new release date for the Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone film Fighter has been announced. It's billed as the country's first aerial action movie. Roshan along with Padukone announced the release date for the film on social media. They are joined by actor Anil Kapoor in the film directed by Siddharth Anand. In the film, the leads Roshan and Padukone play Indian Air Force pilots.
Fighter Release Date
Roshan wrote in his post “25th January 2024- see you at the theatres! Fighter,”. Along with him, Padukone wrote in her post "Fasten your seat-belts! FIGHTER, India's first aerial action film, releases on 25th January, 2024!"
The film Fighter was initially set to be released on September 2022, until the release date was changed to January 2023, competing with Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan. The release date was changed to September 2023, before the leads announced the film would release in 2024 instead.
Additionally, it's the first time Roshan and Padukone share a screen. Padukone shared, "I have always wanted to work with him." Despite having a plot that is firmly based in India. The film aims to appeal to a global audience. Fighter will be broadcast globally and promises to be made with cutting-edge technology.
The movie will be produced by Viacom 18 Studios, Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb, and Anku Pande and directed by Siddharth Anand of the War fame. It's interesting to note that Roshan's recent film, War, broke numerous box office records. A huge number of copies of Fighter will be produced for a worldwide audience. The upcoming action film aims to honour the bravery, selflessness, and patriotism of our armed services while being true to its Indian heritage.
