In the movie, Vijay Varma portrays Hamza, Badrunissa's husband, who is abducted and tortured by the mother-daughter duo. The screenplay of the film is written by Parveez Sheikh, while Jasmeet K. Reen co-wrote and directed the movie in her directorial debut. She primarily writes screenplays and scripts for Bollywood films and made her screenwriting debut with Force 2. Her other notable works include Fanney Khan, Gustakhiya, and Pati Patni Aur Woh, among others. The film also marks Alia Bhatt's debut as a producer; she has co-produced the film under her production banner, Eternal Sunshine. The film is also produced by Gauri Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and Gaurav Verma.
