The character of Madhav Mishra, played by Pankaj Tripathi, who was most recently seen in the movie Sherdil-The Pilibhit Saga, is gaining a lot of praise and his fans are going mad about him.

In the most difficult case in his career, the main character, Adv. Madhav Mishra is defending a young man named Mukul who is accused of killing his own step-sister. In this courtroom drama, actress Shweta Basu Prasad played an assistant public defender who argued against senior attorney Madhav Mishra.

Teenage star Zara Ahuja suddenly disappears during a verbal argument with her brother Mukul, who despises her own existence. When Zara Ahuja's unexpected death shocks the nation and the police discover evidence at the crime scene that points to her brother. Avantika, the mother of Zara Ahuja and Mukul turns to maverick lawyer Madhav Mishra for assistance. However, he soon meets Lekha, a lawyer who is extremely different from him.

Madhav Mishra has been the centre and backbone of Criminal Justice for the past two seasons and this continues for the current season as well. Characters have come and gone, cases have been won and lost, many people's morality has shifted, and the series' message has had a less or more significant influence, but Tripathi has made sure that the character of Madhav Mishra consistently retains our interest.

When asked about how the character of Madhav Mishra has played a role in Pankaj Tripathi's life, he said, "An actor is privileged because along with our own life, we have the opportunity to experience the lives of all the characters that we play. When you experience the pain of a character, as a person, your ability to understand pain increases."He said that Madhav Mishra has added a certain sensibility to him and learnt how to respect women with a lot of respect regardless of the society they come from.
