Cold Case trailer: The trailer of Prithviraj Sukumaran's upcoming horror film Cold Case was released on June 21. The film is slated for an OTT release on June 30. This Malayalam language film will mark first direct-OTT release for Sukumaran.

Directed by Tanu Balak, Cold Case also features actors like Aditi Balan, Suchitra Pillai, Lakshmi Priya, Alencier Lopez, Anil Nedumangad and Athmiya in key roles. the film has been produced by Anto Joseph and written by Sreenath V Nath.

The trailer for the film begins with discovery of a "mutilated skull" and based on its condition, police officer Satyajith (Sukumaran) rules out natural death for the deceased. As the investigation unfolds, Satyajith finds himself in pursuit of a serial killer who is "very crooked, creative and brilliant.”

Sharing the news about Cold Case's trailer launch from his Twitter handle, Sukumaran wrote, "There's a lot more to the case than just evidence and facts."

What's the film about?

Cold Case is a horror-thriller that unearths untold secrets left behind by spirits when they leave the earth. Sukuraman will be seen in the role of a police officer named Sathyajith- a cop who believes in the power of logic. He tries to solve a case that involves paranormal forces and long burried secrets. Cold Case will start streaming on Amazon Prime video on June 30. Anyone with a Prime subscription can stream the film from said date.

Film's producer Joseph had earlier spoken about the decision to opt for an OTT release and said that his upcoming films Cold Case and Maalik will only be able to recover their production cost if a 100 percent occupancy in cinema halls is allowed. But since there is no clarity on when the cinema halls will reopen, he is trying for an OTT release for his films.
