Chhorii Release Date And Time: All We Can Tell You

What we know about Chhorii release date and time: A haunted house in a rural village, a mother-to-be and a spirit thirsty for blood and revenge. These seem to be the pillars on which the plot of Nushrratt Bharuccha's upcoming horror film Chhorii rests. Adapted from Marathi film Lapachhapi, the movie is all set for a release this week.

Chhorii will be competing for the attention of viewers with Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma's Antim. The film is also an adaptation of a Marathi movie- Mulshi Pattern. However, this is where the similarities between the two films end. While Antim is an action thriller that will be releasing first in cinemas and then on OTT, Chhorii will have a direct digital release.

As the COVID-19 situation continues to improve in the country, filmmakers are catering to audience on both mediums, with one section choosing theatrical release while the other going for OTT exclusively. Films like Laal Singh Chaddha and Gangubai Kathiawadi are still determined to hit the theatres, despite having to postpone their release multiple times. On the other hand, it was announced recently that Anand L Rai's ambitious Atrangi Re, featuring Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan will hit a streaming platform in December directly.

What is Chhorii about

Chhorii is the story of a young woman named Sakshi, played by Bharuccha, and her partner Hemant. Sakshi is eight months pregnant and is on the run with her partner for reasons unknown (based on the trailer). The couple takes shelter in an isolated house surrounded by large sugarcane fields. The old house is inhabited by a couple who has secrets of their own to guard.

Unknown to Sakshi, there are mysterious evil forces in the sugarcane fields around the house and soon they come after her and her unborn child. While trying to protect her unborn baby Sakshi feels she is slowly losing her sanity as she constantly sees three kids and a charred monster, along with a frightening lullaby playing on an old transistor. Will Sakshi be able to get out of it safely? Will she be able to protect her unborn child?

The film has been directed by Vishal Furia, who has also helmed the Marathi original Lapachhapi.

Chhorii release date and time

Chhorii will be releasing exclusively on Amazon Prime Video from November 26. The film is expected to be available for streaming at midnight.
