Manju Warrier's Techno-Horror Film Chathur Mukham To Have An OTT Release On This Date

Chatur Mukham release date: Manju Warrier's latest film Chathur Mukham is all set for its digital release. Being promoted as South India's first techno-horror film, Chathur Mukham is a dystopian tale of a woman's overdependence of technology and how it comes back to haunt her.

Written by Abhayakumar K and Anil Kurian and helmed by Ranjeet Kamala Sankar and Salil Menon, the film was initially released in theatres on April 8 this year. However, due to the rise in the COVID-19 cases across the country, its screening was stopped untimely. However, the film received a positive response after its initial theatrical release, from viewers and critics alike. According to Warrier, most of the shows of the film were running a house full despite the COVID conditions.

The trailer of Chathur Mukham has also gained over 2.4 million views on YouTube. The film which is titled The Fourth Face internationally, was selected for the 25th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) held in South Korea. The festival is one of the most premier festivals for the fantasy and horror genre films. In the festival, Chathur Mukham was also showcased in the World Fantastic Red sections.

Cast

Apart from Manju Warrier, the film features Alencier Ley Lopez, Shyamaprasad, Rony David, and Niranjana Anoop in key roles.

Chathur Mukham Release Date

The film will start streaming on ZEE 5 on July 9. Anyone with a subscription of the OTT platform will be able to watch it.
