Vaani Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is all set for a theatrical release later this year on July 9. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film is a modern-day love story with elements of romance, drama and comedy.
Kapoor, announcing the film's release date Friday on Twitter, wrote, "Sugar, spice, and everything nice. Get ready to fall in love #ChandigarhKareAashiqui is all set for a theatrical release on 9th July 2021!"

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui pegged as a "progressive" love story
Khurrana, who belongs to Chandigarh, where the film was shot in around 48 days, had written when the shooting first began last year in October, "Next stop: My hometown Chandigarh for the first time... Excited to be a part of Abhishek Kapoor's delightful progressive love story."
This is Kapoor's first release in three years, the last being Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer Kedarnath, with which Sara Ali Khan made her debut in 2018.
Vaani Kapoor, meanwhile, has three releases lined up this year: Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Bell Bottom alongside Akshay Kumar, and Shamshera alongside Ranbir Kapoor.
