CBSE Scholarship Scheme For Single Girl Child, 2020

The scheme is a good effort towards promoting education among girls and to provide encouragement to meritorious students. At the same time, it acknowledges the effort of students as well as their parents.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced merit scholarships for Single Girl Child for +2 studies. The board has invited online applications from eligible candidates. The scholarship is for students who have passed Class 10 examinations from a CBSE affiliated school.

The eligible candidates can apply for two scholarship schemes: CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for + 2 studies – 2020 and Renewal of Online applications of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child X Pass awarded in 2019, as per official notice.

On Wednesday, CBSE said in press release that interested candidates can check details and eligibility conditions by visiting board’s official website: cbse.nic.in at Scholarship Link. The application forms are also available on the board’s website.

The last day to submit the online applications for the scholarship is December 10. Hard copy of application form (for renewal candidates only) has to be submitted on or before December 28. Copies submitted after the last date will not be considered.

Eligibility And Selection Process

All Single Girl Students, who have secured 60% or more marks in CBSE Class X Examination and are studying Class XI & XII in School (affiliated with CBSE) whose tuition fee is not more than Rs. 1,500/- p.m. during the academic year, will be considered for the scholarship. There will be 10% enhancement for class XI & XII.
