Bollywood Actors Making OTT Debuts In 2023

Throughout the two years of lockdown, Bollywood was not the only entertainment option. With the introduction of OTT, the small screen's definition changed and it became a wider platform, moving beyond the "Saas-Bahu" serials to more suspenseful tales of love, hate, retribution, and relationships.

Many prominent actors have already moved into the digital world, including Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkumar Rao, Vidya Balan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Juhi Chawla. We will see some of the biggest names in the sector join the streaming space this year.

Bollywood Actors Making OTT Debuts In 2023

Shahid Kapoor in Farzi

With Raj and DK, the directors of The Family Man, Shahid Kapoor will make his OTT debut. South Indian superstar Vijay Sethupathi also makes his OTT debut in the eight-episode series Farzi. The crime thriller will debut on February 10 in India and around the world. Along with Zakir Hussain, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar, and Kubbra Sait, it also features Kay Kay Menon, Raashi Khanna, and Regina Cassandra.

The description of this Amazon Prime series reads, "A fast-paced, edgy, one-of-a-kind thriller about an artist who gets pulled into the murky high stakes of a con job and a fiery task force officer on the mission to rid the country of his menaces."

Sidharth Malhotra in Mission Majnu

With Rashmika Mandanna, the actor is prepared to make his streaming debut. The 1971 Indo-Pakistani War was a covert operation carried out by India, and the movie, which stars Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, is a fictional account of this operation. the Shantanu Bagchi-directed fictitious spy thriller movie. The movie was originally going to open in theatres, but that was scrapped in favour of a ">Netflix release on January 20, 2023.

Kareena Kapoor Khan in The Devotion Of Suspect X Adaptation

The bestselling 2005 novel Devotion of Suspect by Japanese author Higashino Keigo will serve as the basis for Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan's debut in an untitled Sujoy Ghosh film. The Netflix adaptation will feature Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat in addition to Kareena leading the cast.

Kajol in The Good Wife

Kajol made her first appearance on streaming services in 2021 with the Netflix film Tribhanga, but she will make her web series debut this year. The Good Wife, an immensely popular legal and political drama starring Alicia Florrick, is adapted into this Indian television series. The American drama has received praise for its compelling story, excellent character writing, and stellar cast work. Hotstar will host the program's premiere.

Aditya Roy Kapur in The Night Manager Remake

The Hindi remake of the thriller series The Night Manager, which starred Tom Hiddleston in the original production, will star the Aashiqui 2 actor. Anil Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala will also play significant roles in the web series.
