Everything To Know About Taapsee Pannu's First Production 'Blurr'

Blurr is an upcoming horror thriller starring Taapsee Pannu and Gulshan Devaiyah in prominent roles. The movie is about a woman who is investigating the death of her twin sister after the police confirm that she committed suicide.

Blurr is a Zee5 original film that is produced by Vishal Rana, Taapsee Pannu and Pranjal Khandhdiya and directed by Ajay Behl. This will be Taapsee Pannu's first film as a producer and talking about the film, she reportedly said, "Blurr taps into different sensibilities of an individual and that is purely why I decided to produce it as my first film. Donning the producer’s hat has been a spectacular experience. Apart from acting, I wanted to be creatively involved in production, conception and various aspects of filmmaking which are seldom glamorized."

Blurr Plot And Cast

The ">trailer of the movie begins with Gautami breaking the lock of her twin sister's house to search for her. She is accompanied by her partner and while searching, he finds her sister hanging to the ceiling. The police closes the case claiming that she hanged herself and this was a suicide. However, Gautami does not believe that and begins to investigate the death on her own. She begins by asking about the neighbourhood and her sister's hospital for clues and meets some of her acquaintances.

Gautami's sister was blind and she too is slowly losing her eyesight. She has to find the reason behind her sister's death before she completely turns blind but the mystery is much deeper and darker. With unusual and eerie occurrences and someone constantly following her, the truth is dangerous and secrets are horrific. While talking about her character, Taapsee Pannu said, "Essaying the character of a woman pushed to the brink of mental endurance due to her sister’s death was vulnerable, raw, and clawing."

Along with Taapsee Pannu and Gulshan Devaiyah, the movie also stars Krutika Desai Khan, Abhilash Thapliyal, Babita Anant and Sorabh Chauhan in important roles. The movie releases on December 9 on Zee5.
