Some interesting facts about Blackpink Kim Jisoo: South Korean singer Kim Jisoo has begun shooting for her first K-drama lead role in Snowdrop opposite One Spring Night’s Jung Hae-in. Fans also got a sneak peek into her look from the set in viral videos. While the actor-singer can’t be clearly recognised in the said video clip, fans claim that it’s Jisoo as Young-Cho. The historical romance drama is slated to air in 2021.

Here are five things to know about the Blackpink singer:

1. A Blackpink vocalist and K-Pop sensation, Kim Jisoo trained for five years to become a member of the band — which also features Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé. In 2016, she took on the role of lead vocalist and visual and was launched as “Mystery Girl No 3” when YG Entertainment cryptically posted images of its then-untitled upcoming girl group.

2. Kim Jisoo is the Korean face of Dior and will soon make her debut in the K-drama Snowdrop. This is not the first time that Jisoo is appearing for a television show. The K-pop star was previously seen in tvN’s historical fantasy drama Arthdal Chronicles, in which she had a cameo. Know more about the K-drama Snowdrop here.

3. In April 2019, Koreaboo named Jisoo one of the top 10 most followed K-Pop idols on Instagram. Jisoo has appeared in many commercials and on multiple Korean TV shows as well. The 25-year-old  has also featured as a judge on music shows like King of Mask Singer and a host on Inkigayo.

4. Jisoo is also an athlete. She can play basketball and also has a knack for inline skating, according to her KProfiles.com bio. She can speak both Japanese and Chinese but is not fluent in English.
5. In September 2019, Kim Jisoo made it to The Business of Fashion's annual list as one of fashion's top 500 influencers. It was the first time that a K-Pop star was named on the list.
