Bhumi Pednekar Turns Covid Warrior: Actor Bhumi Pednekar, on Saturday, said she has recovered from the coronavirus. She has now turned a COVID-19 warrior and took to social media on Monday to announce that through the new initiative she will be creating a “highlight” to identify resources to enable facilitation and access to medical supplies.

After contracting the virus, the 31-year-old actor opened up about her COVID-19 diagnosis on April 5, writing she had “mild symptoms” and was under isolation. Now, she says she is trying to help others find “plasma requests” and “donors” as the case may be.

The actor shared the news with fans via Instagram writing, “While I am trying my level best to verify the numbers/contacts which are shared with me on a rampant & daily basis, there might be some numbers which may turn out to be fake. In the event that you find any information here not helpful/fake, please do let me know & I will immediately remove the same (sic).”

Sharing the social messages, the Saand Ki Aankh actor says, “This initiative is my small contribution to the huge battle that lies ahead of us.” She also urged people to be patient and not to “lose hope”.

Pednekar had tested positive for the virus in the first week of April. The actor has shared her latest health update with her fans. “Am negative but super positive about life,” she posted a close-up selfie with her lying in bed. She also used the hashtags ‘No corona’, ‘healthy and wise’ and ‘isolation over.’ The Pad Man actor has filled her quarantine diaries with pictures and videos of isolation makeup routine with fans.

On the work front, she was last seen in Durgamati, which was the Hindi remake of Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Bhaagamathie. She also has rom-com drama Badhaai Do with Rajkummar Rao in the pipeline. It will release in September of this year. She also has Karan Johar’s multi-starrer Takht coming up.
