Jacqueline Fernandez And Saif Ali Khan Starrer Bhoot Police To Have An OTT Release

The film was previously set to release in cinemas, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the makers opted for a digital release instead.

Bhoot Police release on OTT confirmed: Featuring Jacqueline Fernandez and Saif Ali Khan, the horror-comedy film Bhoot Police has been confirmed to skip theatrical release and premiere on OTT instead. The film was previously set to release in cinemas, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the producers have gone ahead with a digital release. Directed by Pavan Kirpalani, the film is produced by Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri under the banners of TIPS Industries LTD & 12th Street Entertainment.

Actor Jacqueline Fernandez announced the plan for digital release of Bhoot Police on Twitter, writing, "Don't fear the paranormal and feel 'Saif' with VIBHOOTI. #BhootPolice Coming soon on @DisneyplusHSVIP."

The producer of the film and Managing Director TIPS Industries Ltd, Ramesh Taurani also shared about the OTT release of the film on his Twitter handle.

Taurani talked to ETimes in an interview and said that the theatres might not open before November this year, and even when the theatres do open, they will work at 50 percent capacity, hence, he had no other option than to release Bhoot Police digitally. He also added that none of the actors of the film has an objection to releasing the film on OTT and not waiting till the theatres open. 

The shooting of the film began in the first week of November 2020 and took place in Himachal Pradesh and Jaisalmer.

Cast

The horror-comedy film features Saif Ali Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Yami Gautam, and Arjun Kapoor in key roles. Bhoot Police is the first collaboration of Saif Ali Khan with Yami Gautam and Arjun Kapoor. The film also stars Javed Jaffrey, Alexx O'Nell, and Jamie Lever. However, no information about their characters is revealed yet.

Release Date

Previously, the film was set to have a theatrical release on September 10. However, details about its digital premier date remain under wraps as of yet.

Where To Watch

The horror-comedy will be available for streaming on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar after its release on September 10, 2021.
