Janhvi Kapoor And Varun Dhawan To Lead Nitesh Tiwari's Upcoming Film "Bawaal"

Theatres have opened their doors to audiences and with the COVID-19 pandemic fading away we have seen a rise in film announcements these past few weeks. Today, Sajid Nadiadwala and Nitesh Tiwari announced an upcoming feature film, along with a tentative release date. The makers have also revealed their project's primary cast.

The name of Nitesh Kumar's upcoming film is Bawaal and it is expected to come out early next year. Bawaal will feature Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan in lead. The announcement of the project was done via social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram.

"The National Award-winning duo- #SajidNadiadwala and @niteshtiwari2022 are elated to announce their next one together #BAWAAL," read the social media post from the film's makers today.

Actor Varun Dhawan also shared the announcement on his Instagram and wrote, "Ab hoga #BAWAAL! So excited and grateful to announce my next with the amazing duo, #SajidNadiadwala and @nisteshtiwari22 along with @janhvikapoor. Can't wait to see you in theatres."

Kapoor too shared the news on her social media feed, adding that she was "joining hands with the two of the fines..."

Further details on the project have been kept under wraps by the creators. Reportedly, the shoot for the film will begin soon and the fans have high expectations, keeping in mind Tiwari's previous projects like Dangal and Chhichhore.

Apart from Bawaal, Kapoor has an upcoming film called Good Luck Jerry in making. Directed by Sidharth Sengupta, the film is a Hindi remake of the 2018 Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila, and also features Deepal Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh, amongst other actors. Along with this, she will also be seen in Dostana 2 with Laksh Lalwani. Another of Kapoor's upcoming films is Mr and Mrs Mahi with Rajkummar Rao and director Sharan Sharma, this is a sports drama film that is scheduled to release in theatres on October 7 this year.

Bawaal Release Date

Bawaal is expected to have a theatrical release on April 7, 2023.
