Alia Bhatt shares beach photos from then and now: Actor Alia Bhatt, who is prepping for Karan Johar's upcoming period drama, Takht, recently posted a throwback beach picture on Instagram. The Student of the Year actor's then-and-now pictures of herself on a beach vacation were showered with love by friends and followers alike.

Taking to her official Instagram handle, Bhatt shared a photo from her childhood alongside a more recent photograph. In both the pictures, Bhatt can be seen sunbathing on a beach. In the first photo, the 28-year-old actor is dressed in a yellow crop top and matching shorts. While in her childhood picture she strikes a candid pose for the camera. Riddhima Kapoor Sahani, sister of Bhatt's rumoured boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor too reacted to the post with a bunch of red heart emoticons while her mother Soni Razdan commented, "Aww, baby."

Actor Jacqueline Fernandez also posted an "Aww" in the comments section, while Bhatt's close friend Aakansha Ranjan Kapoortoo reacted to it. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana's wife and author Tahira Kashyap was also among the ones to post a red heart. Meanwhile, Bhatt was recently criticised for sharing her holiday pictures from Maldives featuring Kapoor. Post recovering from COVID-19, the couple left for a vacation and was trolled for the same. Many people thought their pictures came at an unfortunate time when the rest of the country was battling a severe second wave of the pandemic.

On the work front, Bhatt, who was last seen in Sadak 2, awaits the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi. She will be also be seen in SS Rajamouli’s RRR, in which she stars with Ram Charan, Karan Johar's Takht and Ayan Mukherji's directorial venture Brahmastra, opposite Ranbir Kapoor. In Bhansali's upcoming film Bhatt has been cast as a mafia queen. The film is expected to open in cinemas on July 30 this year.
