The 26-year-old posed like Gangubai when she arrived for Bhansali's birthday bash last night. Gangubai Kathiawadi, which is set for a theatrical release on July 30, is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s tenth directorial venture.

Bhatt wasspottedat Bhansali'sresidence for his birthday party, where she posed to the media and said 'Namaste' in the style of Gangubai Kathiawadi. Bhansali also appeared alongside Bhatt to greet the media that had gathered outside his house.
Gangubai Kathiawadi tracks the journey of Gangubai Kothewali, a sex worker who rises through the ranks in Mumbai's Kamathipura, a red light area, to hold the title of the most influential brothel madam in the city. Gangubai’s experiences with prostitution placed her as a key champion of women’s rights and upliftment in that era. The story draws from Hussain Zaidi’s 2011 book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, in which he documented stories of women in Mumbai’s underworld.
