Actor Aishwarya Lekshmi: As Netflix India released the official trailer of Jagame Thandhiram on June 1, the Tamil action thriller star made the headlines, owing to her role in the movie.

After a long wait, which began in 2016 with the announcement of the film in April, the film is set to be released on June 18 following a lot of delays due to several reasons including financial problems and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The star cast includes Dhanush, Lekshmi, James Cosmo and Joju George and Kalaiyarasan in supporting roles.

Aishwarya Lekshmi On Testing COVID Positive

Taking to her official Instagram account, Lekshmi revealed the news of suffering from the COVID-19 infection on April 9. In the post, she mentioned following all protocols including wearing masks, sanitising, maintaining social distancing and all other safety measures. However, she was anyways infected by the deadly virus.

"At some point, I grew a tiny bit tired of how this was affecting my “normal life”… and took it (safety protocols) easy," the actor confessed. Learning enough from her experience, she advised her fans in her post to "not take it easy and mask up, do everything you need to..don’t take it for granted."
